Valley Interfaith is a broad-based organization dedicated to revitalizing our democracy by building relational power.
As a strictly nonpartisan organization, we build relationships across racial, denominational, economic and geographic boundaries and create a vehicle for otherwise marginalized families to have a powerful voice in the decision-making processes that affect our families and communities. Through relational and institutional power, we hold government accountable at the local, state and federal level.
Valley Interfaith's organizing process, the basis of relational power, begins with individual meetings at member institutions.
Through one-on-one conversations, people learn about each other's interests for their families and communities. These conversations often pave the way for focused small group conversations, which result in the development of an institutional agenda of issues that the leaders can address through public action. Reflection and evaluation take central roles at every step in the process.
